LSOM COVID DILEMMA

At the height of the covid shutdown, it became apparent that the University of Texas’ Long School of Medicine (LSOM) would not be able to host in-person campus visits.  In June of 2020 we were asked to create several videos to communicate their culture of caring and fostering personal growth to students choosing medical school and graduate training.  Over four days (among stringent covid protocols of not being allowed into the hospital or clinics) we filmed campus b-roll and interviewed 19 students, faculty and administrators.  Along with the main recruitment edit, we created over 20 additional pieces on topics from the culture of caring to diversity and inclusion.  We also created many short teasers for promotions on social media.  Here are just a few examples.

SEWELL MOTOR EXPRESS RECRUITMENT

Sewell Motor Express, like many companies has been effected by the tough labor markets post Covid.  Competing against Goliath sized trucking companies, they struggled to reach a limited pool of drivers.  We quickly discovered a culture of caring and a company that was small enough to know their drivers personally. We filmed in Ohio and North Carolina to produce 16 edits.  Drone footage, vehicle to vehicle filming, interviewing and stills, we told their unique and compelling story.  We all should love where we work as much as Sewell drivers do.
